Kandy Kings made its official debut at a vibrant launch event at Amari Colombo, introducing Sri Lanka’s newest golfing franchise to media, sponsors and CGL officials. The team revealed a brand inspired by Kandy’s heritage and royal legacy, supported by title sponsor Softlogic Holdings. Team Principal Michael Sathasivam highlighted the franchise’s blend of history, honour and ambition. The Kings presented a strong roster selected through the competitive auction, supported by an impressive line-up of partners. Franchise co-owner Siddharth Hirdaramani and CGL co-founder Mahela Jayawardena praised the team’s energy, marking a confident start ahead of the inaugural Ceylon Golf League.
