The House is located about 20 minutes away from the world famous Dutch Fort in Galle. It overlooks a luscious, green paddy field and is only within 10 minutes drive to a famous nature reserve which is a trekkers’ paradise. There’s a variety of fruit and vegetable on the nearly 85 perch land area, which consist of Rambutan, Mango, Jack, Coconut, King Coconut, Avocado, Local olive, Cherries, and Breadfruit and are among some of the vegetation which are edible and tropical.
The House offers 3D views of the Paddy Field in front which bring calm and quiet with the sounds of nature and give out an effect of total relaxation and peace.
Mark and his wife bought a plain looking simple house on a larger than usual land, and decided to improve it to suit their lifestyle. Using their many years of experience in transforming villas or old Wallawwa type bungalows into luxury holiday resorts, they transformed this house into a contemporary, spacious and stylish bungalow. The house itself has been given a more spacious and relaxed atmosphere by creating large living spaces. Some walls have been removed to create more living space. Living areas are furnished stylishly with contemporary minimalistic furniture as well as more expensive antiques and the matching throw pillows as well as rustic throw rugs give out a comfortable, lived in effect. More blues have been used for bedroom decor which bring out a cool, tropical feeling with its green surroundings.
Bathrooms are modern and spacious, created for a feel of luxury while the white titanium floors give out an ambience of clean, calm luxury. The kitchen is a very modern, workable space with everything thought out perfectly to make life easy to conjure up a quick meal or a full course dinner for the family or guests.
