SAARC Women Business Leadership Summit held in Colombo

10 December 2019 10:37 am Words : Indika Madapatha Sellahewa Photos : Nirmala Dhananjaya The Summit which was organised by SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and the Executive Committee Members of SAARC CCI (Sri Lanka) was held in Colombo recently, had delegates from the 8 SAARC nations participating in the event. The session was chaired by Ms. Hina Saeed, Secretary General, SAARC CCI and speakers included; Ms. Habiba Payandanik, SCWEC Incoming Vice Chair, SCWEC, Afghanistan, Mrs. Haseena Niwaaz, Incoming Vice Chair, SCWEC, Bangladesh, Ms. Shaira Saleem, Vice Chair, SCWEC, Maldives, Ms. Sarojani Sherchan, Incoming SCWEC Vice Chair, SCWEC, Nepal, Ms. Zubia Zubair, Outgoing Vice Chair, SCWEC, Pakistan, Ms. Hina Mansab Khan, Incoming SCWEC Vice Chair, SCWEC, Pakistan, Ms. Shirlay Jayawardena, Incoming SCWEC Vice Chair, SCWEC - Sri Lanka and SVP FCCISL Some of the other members who spoke were, Ms. Rifa Mustapha, Outgoing Chairperson, SCWEC, Ms. Afsana Rahimi, Incoming Chairperson, SCWEC, Mr. Ruwan Edirisinghe, President, SAARC CCI & FCCISL, Chief Guest Hon. Anoma Gamage, State Minister of Petroleum Resources Development, and the Vote of Thanks was given by Ms. Ayanti Gurusinghe, EC Member, SAARC CCI.
