So we are embarking on an unforgettable adventure to Vietnam - The land of the ascending dragon. This lovely name comes from the ancient legend of a dragon who rose from the Red river. It also reflects the shape of Vietnam on the map, which resembles a dragon.

Exploring Vietnam had always been on our bucket list. The 3 of us have been planning this trip for months and saving up for the best adventures ever. As our tour agency, we selected Sedadi Holidays (PVT) LTD. After going through many packages and tour options online and through many reviews and recommendations we found that their tour package was the best out of the lot. As our main aim was to explore and of course shopping, the tour itinerary matched our requirements well. From the bustling streets of Hanoi to the serene luxury cruise in Halong Bay, this tour was going to be epic. It was not just a trip for the 3 of us, it was an opportunity to uncover the magic of Vietnam. We were so excited to explore the vibrant culture of Vietnam, indulge in their mouthwatering cuisine and enjoy the beauty of its breathtaking landscapes.
Our flight to Vietnam was uneventful. After landing in Da-nang, we were taken to our hotel - ‘Seven Sea’ by a pre-arranged luxury bus. We felt safe and at ease at all times because we had both our Sri Lankan guide Danushka and also our Vietnam guide Mia with us. We were eager to explore this amazing country which has long captured the hearts of many travelers. Our tour covered the north and central Vietnam during the 7 days. Here I will describe the best attractions which captured my heart.
We reached the Monkey mountain after a short drive from Da nang city. It felt like stepping into a serene world above the sea. The winding road up the hill offered breathtaking views. I have no words to explain the beauty of the coastline, lush forests and the blue waters below. At the top, stands the magnificent Lady Buddha statue watching over the bay. Towering at 67 meters, she is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam. We were told that her calm composure is a symbol of protection for both sailors and locals. Surrounding the statue were beautifully tended bonsai trees. These line the walkways and temple gardens creating a serene atmosphere.
