Fostering Young Women Entrepreneurs : Empowering Day at Musaeus College

Musaeus College hosted the “Upskilling and Empowering Young Women Entrepreneurship” program on 28th August 2023, organized by the Professional Women’s Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka. The event aimed to inspire and equip young women with entrepreneurial skills. The program featured expert speakers Mr. Nishantha Gunasekara and Mr. Thimira Mamamendra, who covered developing business models and key strategies for marketing, technical aspects, legal compliance, and finance management. Their insights provided a solid foundation for emerging entrepreneurs. An inspirational speech by Ms. Jayomi Lokuliyana highlighted the importance of passion and perseverance in achieving entrepreneurial success. The event encouraged attendees to dream big and take risks.
This initiative by CPM Sri Lanka Professional Women’s Chapter reflects their commitment to empowering young women in entrepreneurship. It was a significant step towards nurturing a new generation of confident and capable women entrepreneurs ready to make their mark in the business world.
