Could you introduce yourself in brief?

Hello, I am Kaushani Perera, a seasoned professional in the realm of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management, currently serving as a Senior Health and Safety Professional at South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd. (SAGT) in the Port of Colombo. With a steadfast commitment to breaking stereotypes and championing safety, my journey has been defined by leading by example and fostering a culture where the well-being of employees takes precedence. As the sole female senior executive in my domain within the dynamic and non-negotiable safety industry, I seamlessly translate my skills from the boardroom to the field. Wearing a safety helmet, reinforced toe-cap boots, and a high-visibility jacket, I am dedicated to anticipating and preventing potential hazards, ensuring a secure working environment for  the Terminal’s 500-strong workforce. I hold a BSc. in Logistics  Management and a National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), where I achieved the prestigious gold medal as the dux of the batch.
