The Mother Today

Parenting today is much different to that of a few decades ago. At least, in this 21st century, it has really gone through many changes and challenges. Young mothers of today are many characters or personalities rolled together. Out of necessity and the slow evolution of the “mother” role, she has necessarily become a person who is basically an ace juggler!

Although the world around the children have changed significantly, what children need from their parents socially, emotionally and physically to thrive developmentally have not changed much over the years. “Parenting” or “Mothering” cannot be a perfected activity. There may be help books galore, but since parents or children or situations are never perfect, parents have to do their parenting largely by instincts and with what knowledge gained from their own life learnings. How much one plans, dreams or hopes and be in readiness, things can go horribly wrong in parenting. There is no “right way” that fits all kids and parents to achieve that “job well done!” always. The road is full of pot-holes and pit-falls!
