Asela’s done some serious thinking to dream up fresher options and faster service to the guest which essentially involves hard work through the day. Whilst the food is served to you quickly, cooking techniques used are classic with high focus on homemade taste.
Asela’s experience of over 12 years in some of the finest bakeries beyond the shores of the island, come to life as the sights, sounds and smells of cooking engulf you at BAKED. You’ll see chefs of his team smiling away as they piece together simple delicacies. Dough is an art-form here – herb breads, pumpernickel in its rich brown colour and the more spiced up bread for the local palette are all created lovingly.
Buns with exotic fillings couldn’t be fresher as they come hot-hot off the show oven. Asela’s an expert in all things sugar. His chocolate-inspired wonders include the really, really dark Chocó fudge cake smothered with decadent icing and the white chocolate & almond cookies. Fruity tarts with layers of rich cream, classic scones that delicately crumble in your mouth, sticky apple and peach pie… there’s awesome stuff here! Keeping the calorie count low? Then treat yourself to just a little with a crunchy coconut macaroon or a fluffy marshmallow – with goodies of varying portion size, this much is ok to live it up but stay guilt free.
