Yes, we are already in the Year 2020. Have you made plans or are you waiting till the year unfolds?
January is a good time to organize your programme at least for the first quarter. First of all, think of your own timetable. Do you have goals to achieve this year? Maybe you need to set aside time to study or write out projects. Take your time especially if you want to do a good job. The beginning of the year is a good time to make a start also to keep a New Year Resolution! You may want to diet or put on weight depending on your size! Remember you only need to stick to your Resolution till the end of January or early February after which you can relax. But you need to think of the whole year and plan ahead. Then what about your family or dependents?
First, is a family member sitting for a public exam? That comes first. You need to put your own affairs on hold, and concentrate on your child sitting for the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level). Organise a programme of study and play. Then what about your husband? No, no…don’t forget him. He also deserves your attention. Perhaps once a month you can cook a special meal for him-roast pork and parsley potatoes and play soft music and have a romantic evening together. Does your teenage son feel left out? Rope him in to cook a meal; perhaps hamburgers if that’s what he likes. Encourage him to market and buy minced beef or a fish patty and then show him how to grill it.
