Easy-Peasy Beauty Hacks

Being a woman is not easy! With work, kids and a house to run, things can get chaotic pretty fast. So, at those hectic times, you may not always have a lot of time to yourself. But that is not a reason to slack away on your beauty routine. From hair to makeup, there are always going to be shortcuts that will help you to save time and get that magazine model look, without spending hours or a small fortune in doing so. With these simple beauty hacks, you can save tons of time and still look like the super woman you truly are!

Keep Lipstick off your teeth Lipstick on the teeth has plagued women for centuries. Nobody likes to smile and find out that they have red all along their pearly whites. A great way to avoid this is to simply wipe your lips from the inside out. After you finish applying your lipstick, just stick your finger in your mouth and pull it out. Remember making those “popping” noises when you were a kid? This is the same thing. Your finger will wipe away the excess lipstick and leave your teeth shiny white.

Use mascara eyeliner If you have run out of eye liner and you are in a hurry, you can use your mascara instead. Just rub an eye liner brush over the mascara brush and then line your eyes. This works well if your mascara is the same color as the eye liner that you typically use and even if it’s not, it will help you to get your eyes lined in a pinch. The mascara will wash off your eye lids just like it does off your lashes.

Apply concealer in a triangular shape Concealing dark circles and bags under your eyes is much easier when you apply concealer properly. Instead of dotting on concealer in the pattern of your eyes, apply it in a triangle shape. Just dot it on under your eyes and blend downward in the triangle shape. It will perfectly cover up those dark circles and bags and give you the look that you want.

Nail polish bottle dried shut? This can be a frustrating dilemma, especially when you are in a hurry. Secure a rubber band around the cap to help you get a better grip while twisting it open.

Ironing made easier It is always hard to reach shirt collars and the button line when ironing clothes. So use your hair iron on those spots instead. Use your straightening iron to press collars and shirt cuffs without having to drag out the ironing board.

Use conditioner when shaving Ran out of shaving cream? Hair conditioner will work in a pinch. It gives skin a similar slippery feel and leaves legs super soft.

Make Your Own Gel Eyeliner Gel eyeliner is a great way to make your eyes look smoldering and gel tends to last longer than traditional eyeliner pencils. If you notice that your eyeliner rubs off or smudges before the end of the day, you can use gel eyeliner in its place. The problem is that gel eyeliners can be a bit more expensive than pencils. So, just make your own. You just have to take a lighter and carefully heat the end of any eyeliner pencil to create gel eyeliner that looks great and will last all day. Make sure that you let the eyeliner cool before applying it on the eyelid.

Use baby powder to get DIY false eyelashes Between applying each coat of mascara, dip a Q-tip in baby powder and run across your lashes, focusing on the tips. The second coat will attach to the powder for a longer, fuller look for your lashes.

Know where to apply your perfume so it lasts all day Smelling good is a crucial step in your beauty regime. The spots to hit when splashing on perfume are behind ears, inside wrists, base of throat, inside elbows and behind knees.

Make sure you are neverlate To avoid running late in the morning, make a playlist that runs exactly as long as you have to get out the door. Challenge yourself to finish by the last song.
