Colours of Childhood: Imperial Teas Group Celebrates Young Talent Through Siththaru Siththam 2026

Where little hands paint big dreams, imagination blossoms into a world of endless possibilities.

Every colour tells a story, every brushstroke holds a dream, and every child carries a universe of imagination. Celebrating this beautiful spirit, Imperial Teas Group successfully hosted the SiththaruSiththam Art Competition 2026, under the inspiring theme “SihinaDakimu, Paata Karamu” (Let Us Dream and Colour). The event transformed a simple canvas into a celebration of childhood, bringing together young artists whose drawings reflected their dreams, emotions, and unique perspectives. Beyond creating beautiful pictures, the competition encouraged children to express themselves freely, discover their creativity, and build confidence in their abilities.

Recognising Creativity and Nurturing Talent

To ensure a fair and meaningful evaluation, the artworks were assessed by Mr. SunethPriyaAravinda, Senior Lecturer at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo. Entries were judged against five key criteria: use of colour, creativity, composition, relevance to the theme, and overall finish and technical appeal, with each criterion carrying equal weight. This structured judging process recognised not only artistic skill but also originality, imagination, and the effort behind every creation. All participants received certificates, gifts, and souvenirs in appreciation of their enthusiasm and participation. Winners and runners-up were specially recognised with medals, certificates, and gifts, making the occasion memorable for the young artists and their families.
